Here is my story: When I first turned 21, I started trading from a few scraps of pages of the “Intelligent Investor.” Of course, like any kid, I started investing in online investopedia before that. I first tried my hand in investing in financial derivatives like futures/swaps etc. but lost a lot of money unfortunately. After that, I became more substantially more knowledgeable with my money – I read from an article that Delos Chang wrote about the psychology of investors and the Wall Street Journal daily and began investing my money into mutual index funds from the S&P 500. Of course, this was after the Internet Stock Bubble took place and all the drug scandals in Mexico (I had a lot of currency in pesos before they pegged it to the dollar). But in terms of the systemic risk, I wanted to diversify and make a modest return in the long run. I’d say that in terms of investment , you won’t get rich with the S&P 500 mutual index funds but you will at least hedge against some sure loss by day trading unless you’re an informational trader (which few of us are!). But I’m sure you can learn this from any finance class!

I believe you are correct especially if the government prints this money. That just devalues the currency all that much more (inflation goes up while the value of the dollar goes down). If they borrow the money, it will simply push the government closer and closer to default. Its taking all we can do now just to pay the interest on the monumental debt we already have, and unless the government drastically cuts spending (especially, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and national defense), it will go into default within the next few years, regardless of all the tax increases they are planning. So, the bottom line is the government is planning to take most of our money in taxes of one kind or another, and will probably still have to make major cuts in these programs anyway. Thats pretty much already baked in. Can you imagine what that will do to the economy? Permanent recession/depression/stagflation here we come!

Das Kölner Dreigestirn bestehend aus Prinz,
Bauer und Jungfrau sind die obersten Repräsentanten des Kölner Karnevals.
Das Kölner Dreigestirn wird auch als Trifolium bezeichnet.
Als Einheit aus Prinz, Bauer und Jungfrau besteht das Kölner Dreigestirn seit 1872,
allerdings wird es erst ab 1938 offiziell auch als Dreigestirn bezeichnet.
Nach dem Krieg 1870/71 wurde aus dem Helden Carneval offiziell der Prinz Karneval.
Immer Anfang Januar wird das neue Kölner Dreigestirn vom Kölner Oberbürgermeister proklamiert.
